An interactive from Scholastic that provides students with a prompt for writing. There are four themes, 'Fantasy', 'Sci Fi', 'Adventure' and 'Scrambler'. Students then enter their name and choose from four levels: K-1, 2nd grade, 3rd grade and 4-6th grade.. Students spin the wheel and A randomly generated writing prompt is displayed. |

This is a free site, however it does require the user to create an account using an email address. It could be used by a teacher for a joint construction of text. It allows the writer to create interactive stories, much like 'Choose your own adventure' stories. When students are ready to share they are given a unique URL which allows other to read but not edit their work.
